Question by tobey1kenobe: Why do companies in China not accept credits to offset invoices?
We are a US company exporting to China. If a problem occurs, such as shipping fewer than expected goods or a product is damaged, our customers in China requests a corrected invoice. It is our standard practice to issue a credit that offsets part of the invoice amount. We expect the customer to pay the difference between the invoice amount and the credit. Issuing a corrected invoice is not common in the US and the process of creatin one is more time-consuming for us. Can you explain why Chinese companies do not accept credits?

They aren’t as advanced as we are in technology. They do things the old fashioned way. One day they may catch up.
