Question by Lover: What good topics are there to write about China’s economy?
I’m writing an essay about China’s economy and I need some good topics to write about, so could anyone please give me some suggestions.
So far I’m writing about their imports/exports and also their artificially low currency. I am thinking about writing about their population growth too, but idk really? What other good topics are there to write about?

You could mention something about how business and government in China is related. For example, most of the large corporations are government owned.
Also, I would talk about their low labor cost since that is one of the reasons their economy has expanded so much in the past decade.
Their population growth isn’t *that* related to their economy and I think it’s a more minor topic. But what you could talk about in terms of population is the increase in the urban population of China as people are moving away from the farming areas. Most of China’s population resides on the eastern coast of the country. Many people leave small rural areas for a chance at success in the big urban centers like Shanghai and Beijing.
Their major industry is manufacturing so you can integrate that with the import/export side of things.
Hope this helps!! Good luck!!
You could write about the development of ther car industry.
There are thousands of topics to narrow down to…here are a few ideas:
1. The real estate boom and how this has affected the lower economic class (the average person cannot afford to buy a first apartment, or sell their home and buy a larger one)
2. The strict requirements (and why) for foreign companies entering into the Chinese market
3. The currency revaluation and how it has negatively affected (and will affect once it revalues again) small businesses in China (You may be able to discuss how and why many businesses were mis-aligned, only focusing on exports rather than developing the local market..this is VERY interesting!)
4. The birth of a low cost labor pool (How the population boom in the 50s, think Korean War, led to the present day economy)
5. The changing of China’s eastern areas from a manufacturing economy into a service economy.
You can write about whether it is a good time to invest in China or not.
