    They are called prosperity cats or Maneki Neko. And i think they origniated in Japan rather than China…I’m not positive though. But i do know Neko means cat in Japanese…so japanese origin would make sense. lol.

    Yes it oringinate in Japan.
    In China it is called Zhaocai Mao. (Mao means cat)
