Taylors of Harrogate offer a variety of teas. These may be had in tea bags or in the loose leaf form and packed in gorgeous tins. From Yorkshire Gold, ideal for cold winter afternoons, to the classic Earl Grey, Tayors’ teas are top of the line. China Rose Petal tea is perfect blend of a black tea with a light addition of a few rose petals. The bouquet is sublime. The taste terrific. Strongly recommend. A super gift or a treat to give yourself.

The first thing you notice when you open up the tin is the aromatic floral scent of rose but it’s not overpowering. Once brewed, the tea is a deep red color and rosy tasting. It makes for a mellow cup of tea and is easy drinking and light in caffeine. You can enjoy a whole pot full here and this makes it great company with a long novel. Definitely not a bracing breakfast style tea if that’s what you’re looking for but if you like subtle aromatic teas, this is a sure bet. Doesn’t get bitter even with oversteeping. A real pleasure. If you like this, try lychee congou if you can track it down. Very aromatic and mellow as well.

Took me several years to find this online since our local Balducci’s stopped carrying it. Nice rose flavor. Makes me happy to drink it in the morning or afternoon. Good quality as always.

The tea arrived in a timely fashion, but unfortunately it was stale and rather flavourless. It does not compare with the product as purchased in the UK or sent to Paris.

I lived in England for a year and became addicted to black tea flavored with rose leaves. Unfortunately, this was next to impossible to find once returning to the States. Occasionally, I would find a “rose tea”, but it was usually also flavored with orange – or didn’t include black tea – or just didn’t taste quite right.
But Amazon to the rescue – this is precisely what I’ve been seeking! Delicate rose flavor with excellent black tea, just like I remember.
