5 Responses to “Should US contain China or let China support Pakistan and other rogue nations in acquiring nukes?”

How would you define a rogue nation? One that refuses to allow weapons inspectors or IAEA inspectors in? One who refuses to sign the NNPT? One that continually threatens its neighbours and has a proven history of aggression?

Step forward, Israel. Why aren’t you bleating about their nukes?

  2. Penfold Ickle Bickle Wickle Scarwy Bear says:

Its already way too late for that. The US can do nothing to stop the rise of China and its a good thing too. The US has been an absolute disaster in its role as the sole remaining superpower. Greedy, corrupt and shortsighted the US has reaped the harvest it has sown. I think there is every reason to hope that China will continue to act with wisdom and responsibility in its stewardship of the world.

China is beyond the US ability to contain. If the US pushes too hard on these issues, it will result in another cold war, or god forbid, a real shooting war. No good will come from that.

It is better for the US to work through international organizations like the UN and IAEA on issues like this. That would give a greater legitimacy to these efforts, with international support, rather than it looking like the old superpower trying to keep down the new and rising one.

I once tried to contain Lake Superior using only a sieve. I’m really don’t want to discuss how it all turned out. Pakistan is the rectal outlet of the world, with killer farts. I have been working really hard on an appropriate air freshener. Please stay tuned.

one country after another, the u.s. keeps on invading, bombing, and pillaging. i can start with the korean war, but we all know it goes before that. the viet nam war. Afganistan, Iraq, Serbia, Libya, Pakistan. how many more countries must suffer before the u.s. is actually contained? look at the mess that the u.s. made in south america during the 1980′s with all its attempts to destabilise south america. then look at how the u.s. is destabilising the middle east by supporting rogue states such as israel.

the united states itself, started as a rogue state. founded by british imperialists, and european religious extremists, it robbed the land from the native americans, and built the empire on african slavery. today, one of its most lucrative products are weapons. the u.s. is the single largest supplier of weapons worldwide. drugs? well the cia might be the largest heroin, and cocain dealer in the world.

the u.s. isnt policing anything, instead, the u.s. is the one who needs to be policed. thats the problem with u.s. hegemony, no one is there to arrest the u.s. for its crimes.

if the u.s. isnt stopped, the whole world will die.

half of u.s. tax dollars go towards military. the u.s spends $ 700 billion a year on military, 10 times more than China. the u.s. has 800 military bases worldwide. 800 times more than China.

it is clear who needs to be contained.
