Queen Anne Style Double Door Solid Oak Wood Curio China Cabinet
My wife and I received this curio as a wedding present, and were looking forward to setting it up. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a typical do-it-yourself boxed furniture experience. The instructions are terrible and leave everything to the imagination. The doors had a different finish than the rest of the curio. There were plenty of missing parts, from simple hardware all the way to some of the glass itself. It even shipped with broken glass. It was easy to see how it broke when we finally got around to assembling it. The glass itself is very thin and brittle. On top of this, they didn’t even properly fit the doors.
Now, the manufacturer (Coaster) did send us some additional glass and hardware, but never sent replacement doors. We have spent months trying to work with the company to bring this project to completion, but due to their long turnaround times and the flimsy construction of the curio, the incomplete cabinet started falling apart and we have given up on it. We highly recommend that you spend a little more money for a higher quality product, as we will have to do now.
Side-note: the backing of the curio contains formaldehyde.
