If Chinese people REALLY look the same as Japanese people and South Korean people, how come China is underdeveloped whereas Japan and South Korea are economic, scientific, and technological powerhouses?

You forgot Hong Kong a uber strong financial powerhouse. Taiwan, a center for electronics RnD. Singapore a top asian powerhouse. There countries are all on the top and predominately chinese.
