You get a good amount of storage and the player sounds descent and is built pretty well. It’s important to pay attention to the on/off switch. If it is in the off position the unit will turn on for 5-10 seconds when a button is pressed and appear very hard to work. I almost thought it to be defective. It also needs to be in the on position when connected to the computer. Other than that, It plays video, has a camera, has a nice screen and isn’t $200. So the quality and features are not near the $200 mark, but neither is the one that costs $200. It’s a pretty descent player for a generic.

This is the perfect mp3 player for the person on the go all the time. Its small sleek and gets the job done. With gigs of space you can pour in as much music as you want and after 5 mintues of tinkering with it all the functions are as easy as can be. The only thing to watch out for is that if you want to add music videos you are going to have to reformat your videos into amv format which you can easily find a quick converter online. It gets the job doen and if you ever lose it it won’t break your heart because it didn’t break your wallet.

I was very disappointed in this player, although it would be excellent for anyone who doesn’t really care what order their music is in.

The first one I got turned out to have firmware problems even after I wiped the drive and replaced the firmware, it did not recognize the folders I made. The replacement (second) one I got, I could make folders that were recognized (yea!), but the songs were not listed in nor played in the order it was in the folders – I had the songs numbered so they would play in the order I wanted them to be played, but when I accessed the folder to play the song order was all jumbled up. Couldn’t seem to make it work alphabetically, either. Honestly, I just felt the firmware was not up to par. Very disappointing. If the firmware would allow playing via a playlist, it would be a HUGE improvement.

I am returning this item and getting a Sansa Clip Plus (4GB). A tad more expensive, but as the old saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” :-/
