I have had silk long johns before so I already knew how wonderful they can be, but after getting this brand for my husband he is totally convinced! He’s always been a fan of long johns but raised an eyebrow at wearing something that seemed so “un-manly”. Now he want several more sets for Christmas this year! These particular long johns seem really thin when you take them out of the package, but they provide just the right amount of warmth and insulation without any bulk whatsoever. Plus they breathe beautifully — no more sweating and then getting chilled like with normal bulky long underwear. Darling hubby works on a factory floor in 10 degree weather and says with these “longies” he is as comfortable as if he was in our toasty living room. Can’t get a recommendation much better than that!

Thin. Very thin material. The pictured models are not wearing the product, you would see certain things if they were.
It’s not bad as underlayer, but it would never work as a layer all by itself.
It helps buffer standard cold of a ski trip, but I would reccommend you look elsewhere if you’re planning on using this for an area that snows a majority of the winter.
Also the product comes packaged with a bunch of Adds. Annoying, but not so much to affect the rating really.
