If there is an Asian grocer you should be able to get this for closer to $2. I think I buy it in Chinatown for $2 on sale, $2.50 otherwise. This is the cheaper brand of oyster sauce by Lee Kum Kee and is excellent. There isn't the weird after taste that is marked by all of the impostor brands of oyster sauce out there.

If you're a beginner and don't know what to do with this, the easiest thing is to just steam or boil broccoli until cooked, but not sauce. Then pour this over it. The sauce is so good, you really don't need to do anything else.
