The olympic games opening in china is august 8th so I dont have much time. But I want to start a protest in my states capital. How do I start? Do I need a licence? I want to do it right, but yet do it loud!
I think If I get enough people, with loud enough voice news papers and stations will pay attention, and thus spread knowledge and understanding about china and tibet.

What on earth do you think protesting in Nebraska is going to accomplish? And when you say “in the capital,” do you mean in the Capitol building? Otherwise, you probably don’t need any sort of license — unless you need some sort of public parks occupancy or parade permit.

You might need a city permit to do a protest in front of the capital. Check with City Hall and find out before you do anything, but I don’t think a protest like this will accomplish a thing!
If the Chinese government doesn’t trust their own people enough to hold free and open elections what makes you think they will care what someone in Nebraska says? The only thing you can get done is supporting the local street vendors- $ 6 water $ 8 hotdog anyone? Several times over the past 50 years the leader of the free world has told them they don’t agree with their oppression.
I suggest you can protest olympics in hell, no one cares your publicity stunt, no licence needed. You can shout to evils as loud as you can!
I’m a ordinary Chinese, though I don’t like our government either, but politics is those damned politician’s, and Olympics is belong to everyone in the world. You should never mix them together. The mistakes made by politicians should be beared by ordinary people.
