I don’t think anyone can really predict that. However, places like Chengdu and Chonqing (large cities) will probably be back to normal much sooner than the smaller towns that were hit closer to the epicenter. I’m not sure that all of them will even be rebuilt. I hope they will be restored as soon as possible, but the emotional toll may never be healed.
I think big city like Chengdu, Chongqing would soon return to normal.
It will last 8 years to rebuild the destroyed district.
