You should definitely go to China someday or Hong Kong. You can’t even compare to the americanized version of it. You just know that its different. You would LOVE it more than the ones from America. I always gain a extra 15 pounds when I go there because all you do is shop, eat, eat more, shop, and eat. Then you go home and eat dinner then dessert. Lol

The clue is in the word ‘authentic’. All too many restaurants serving ‘ethnic’ food in foreign countries change original recipes to suit their idea of what the native population prefer.
When I lived in Hong Kong we picked our Chinese restaurants by peering through the window. If the majority of the guests were Chinese we ate there. We avoided the ‘Chinese’ restaurants in the hotels.
We also went to an Italian Restaurant there which headed its menu with: We do not serve spaghetti with meat balls. This is not an Italian dish.

Chinese people cook it, not Mexicans

Americanized versions are often sweet, sticky and filled with MSG. Authentic chinese food are distinguished from the region they are from, try them out in Chinatowns where they cater to mainly ethnic chinese people.
