Question by Chris: How do Chinese deal with font sizes while browsing the internet?
Some characters, especially traditional are often just a black blob on the screen. Do most Chinese computers use really large fonts?
(I’m aware it might be a bit odd posting this in the languages section, but I think I have a better chance at finding a Chinese-speaker here who could answer this)

Check out a Chinese newspaper, the font sizes are about the same.

yes.
大部分都是这样的字体。这不过是习惯而已.just like English,
Yeah, the characters can end up that way, but the Chinese people for the most part have no problem reading them because they grow up with them their whole lives. I’m living in China right now, and I can definitely not read the characters like they can. They can read them really fast, just like us English users.
