Since this guide covers a large country, each location can only be covered so much. The description is short and precise and for the places we visited, accurate. The guide is small enough to be taken along and served the purpose for us. We did not use the hotel or food guide since we were part of a tour group.

This is a colorful guide to China, with little focus other than tease the prospective visitor to make the trip. It is not useful like DK Eyewitness Guide to China. It is not very informative, either.
