I have this book China by Dk Eyewitness which I love them (DK) because they are all about the images. This book touches on the history of China with a timeline, gives profiles of different people&their jobs in China, shows China’s olympic victory, as well as art and literature. Just like it says on the front cover People, place, culture, history. If your having second thoughts. Don’t. This visual and informative book is money well spent!

We all know Chinese character is one of the most important element of Chinese culture. It would be better if this book does contain a good introdution with sufficient information about “Chinese characters.”
