This review is from: Ballads in Blue China (Audio CD)

The Judas Factor (Revelation Records) released this album some time ago, and I just barely had the opportunity to purchase it. I had heard of this band a year or so ago, and I took a gamble and bought this album. What can I say? Royal Flush.

The album unfolds itself before you as it assaults everything within earshot. The second I heard the intro to the very first song (Beauty Mark), I thought to myself “This is going to be good.”

The CD has dominated my stereo these past few days, and will definately make the hours in school pass easier. It will be hard to sit still in my seat, because this album really moves you. I like every single track on this album, which is a rare thing for hardcore bands (in my opinion). Not even other hardcore favorites of mine, such as Indecision and Isis, have accomplished this.

The structure of each song ranges from hardcore riffs with metal overtones and emotional solos to two soft tracks, one being acoustic (which I simply love). The CD is very honest, the lyrics being straight forward and full of truth.

As stated in the official review, this takes you on a journey through human emotion. Regret, hatred, beauty, and love are just a few displayed in this masterpiece. I am already looking forward to obtaining Kiss Suicide, their 2nd release.

Take a gamble like I did and experience the Judas Factor.
